How to Make a Quesadilla

I'm making this blog for a friend who asked me how to make a quesadilla. Since he's new to the ventures of a kitchen, I'm supplying him with plenty of pictures for this step-by-step tutorial on making a quesadilla. :)
Step 1: Get out your pan.
Step 2: Turn on the heat to medium.
Step 3: Put some oil or butter in the pan.
Step 4 (optional): I wipe out the excess oil, but mainly because I'm using a cast iron pan and I add the oil just to make the pan non-stick.
You can just leave the oil or butter in the pan and that's fine too.
Step 5: Place the tortilla in the pan (spotty side goes down.)
At this point, I turn the heat down from medium to medium-low.
Step 6: Add cheese. :)
Step 7: Place 2nd tortilla on top.
(See what I mean about the "spotty side"?)
Step 8: I add more oil on top of the 2nd tortilla at this point, but you don't have to.
(The oil or butter basically makes the quesadilla more flaky, but they also come out perfectly delicious without any added oil/butter.)
I also spread it around with my fingers to get it even.
Step 9: Check the bottom to see if it's ready to flip.
It should be golden brown and the cheese mostly melted inside.
Step 10: Flip the quesadilla over.
(Note: If it's not ready to flip, and the cheese is not melted...cheese will come out and get all over when you attempt to flip it. :P)
Step 11: After the other side turns golden brown, remove it from the pan.
Let it cool a second and then slice it with a pizza cutter.
You can slice it into quarters....
....or eighths, depending on what size you prefer.

Step 12: Serve with salsa and sour cream.
Enjoy! :D
